This weekend was great, though really it had kind of a slow start. It began with me entering the con and the first thing I did was check of the vendors. I tell you, I lost £100 in about 2 hours. But I made some people very happy. Stuff included is prints, badges, etc. and for good measure and because I support them, at least one item from all of the Alicorn Mafia. The group consisting of Dennybutt, AlSkylark, TracyMod, EleanorAppreciates and Brainedbysaucepans… Thinking on it, I was hanging around there quite a lot for the first day, I hope none of them minded too much becaause I sure as hell feel awkward now. Also had some anxiety attacks, they were fun. One going in and one a little bit later where I felt dizzy and about ready to throw up and tracymod advised I get some water. Highlights of the day really was hanging around with Cheesey and CaptainHoers, oh and had a talk with Urban Meadows, which was interesting.
Second day though is where things kicked off. I entered the con with only a single pound to my name and I ran with it to the end, well I bought a badge off my good fried Somnias but that’s not important right now. The Crazy music for crazy ponies panel had pretty much how I would describe it in the title. CaptainHoers’s animation panel actually made me want to try animation again, Heather Breckel’s Digital colouring panel was by far the most useful thing at the entire con and Pipsqueak’s stand up performance I got led out of the room on Mic the Microphone’s shoulders… I could not make this up if I tried. I also was pretty active during all the panels I was in, asking many a question (one each time but shush). After that I was alone for a good 2 hours, no anxiety attacks this time though suprising to me, Drawponies found me and I basically just hung out around his table for a while and getting the conbook signed by multiple people. I also got a free Derpy sketch in my sketchbook which I may scan, line and colour (permission already gained in advance).
Overall a good con, it suffered a bit from scheduling, not really too much exciting in the first day but the second almost completely made up for it. I apologise to anyone who saw me there, I was in fact very awkward and that leads me to be a bit… clingy.
Bonus, selfie with Mic The Mic on what is possibly the worst forward facing camera ever invented (Mic said I should do a funny face, so lo and behold). Should have used my ipad but ah well. Not like even a professional camera can make me not look like a fool next to people I actually want to meet.
